Works great at reducing recoil (I think about 50% reduction) and reducing muzzle climb. Be aware that this increases noise - I wear earplugs under muffs for indoor shooting. Reason for 4 stars is that it was too loose on my rifle (due to the way the AK-47 is threaded, it will fit a bit different on every rifle) and I had to file a bit off the bottom to make it fit. Alternatively I could have bought a "crush washer" but AK47.net does not stock these. I have heard that it is OK for these to be loose but I wasn''t comfortable with it.
