Turkey Calls

One of the best ways to lure in a turkey when out on a hunt is with the use of a turkey call. There are many different types of calls for hunters of all experience levels. Friction and electronic calls are two of the easiest turkey calls to use. A friction call simply requires the user to draw a peg across a surface to produce lifelike turkey sounds while an electronic call is used by hitting a button to imitate various turkey noises. If you’re having troubles locating a turkey, a locator call is what you need. Turkey locator calls work by extracting a shock gobble from hidden tom turkeys because these mature male turkeys will elicit a shock gobble at various loud noises, which will help reveal their location. Using a diaphragm call requires a bit more practice but is one of the most popular calls as it can make all of the turkey sounds once mastered. No matter what type of hunter you are and no matter your skill level, a turkey call will prove to be an asset when on a hunt.
